Land Classification Survey

Land Classification Survey is carried out as one of National Land Survey based on National Land Survey Law. The purpose of Land Classification Survey is to survey on natural condition of our land (Geomorphology, Subsurface Geology, Soil) etc. in detail and to compile the results into maps for utilizing to draft various project such as city plan and land use plan.
Land Classification Survey consists of 2 surveys: Fundamental Survey by national government and prefectures, Land Classification Survey (Detail Survey) by municipalities.
While Fundamental Survey is for clarifying natural condition etc. of comprehensive area, Detail Survey is for clarifying natural condition of certain area in detail based on Fundamental Survey.
